The Secret of Retropolis

The Secret of Retropolis is built like a detective adventure that leans hard on retro-future style: clue hunting, conversations, and the slow reveal of a strange city. By our assessment, its best quality is the atmosphere, because the premise naturally supports a strong setting and a clear sense of place. The trade-off is that this sort of adventure can be more about walking between dialogue and puzzle beats than about mechanical depth, so the pace depends on whether the mystery keeps paying off. In practice, that means reading scenes, talking to characters, and moving through a compact world that wants attention more than quick reflexes. It sits close to classic point-and-click design, which is a virtue if someone wants a narrative puzzle game and a limit if someone wants action. The title promises a hidden answer, and the genre usually lives or dies on whether that answer feels worth the detour.
