The Masterplan

The Masterplan is all about planning before the shooting starts, which makes it stand out from more impulsive heist games. By our assessment, the appeal comes from lining up a robbery with careful placement, timing, and a bird’s-eye view of how each move will unfold, so the player spends as much time thinking as acting. That also gives it a clear downside: if you want constant chaos, it can feel more like solving a layout than surviving a firefight. In practice, it asks for patience and a willingness to restart a plan when one piece goes wrong, which is part of the texture rather than a flaw. It sits between tactical puzzling and action, but closer to the planning side than to a pure shooter. People who like map-like thinking and controlled execution will get the most from it, while anyone chasing instant adrenaline may bounce off the slower setup.
