The Kite

The Kite is a thin, airy name for a game that usually invites curiosity about motion, distance, or control rather than about heavy systems. By our assessment, that kind of title tends to promise something small and specific, and the best version is usually a short, focused experience instead of a sprawling one. The downside is that without more detail it is hard to expect deep mechanics or a large amount of content, so the appeal depends on whether the core idea is executed cleanly. In practice, games with a name like this often work through one strong mechanic and a simple mood. The Kite sits closer to an elegant little concept than to a big release, and that is where its ceiling lies.
