The Jackbox Party Pack 2

The Jackbox Party Pack 2 is built for a group on the couch, a TV, and a pile of phones turned into controllers. By our assessment, it does well because the games are quick to explain and the jokes are built into the answers players type, draw, or vote on. The weak spot is the same one that follows every Jackbox pack: once the group has seen the joke structure, replay value depends a lot on who is in the room and how much they want to improvise. In practice it is a social tool more than a traditional game, with the room’s energy doing half the work. Against party-game shelves full of trivia and button-mashing, this pack is more about prompt-driven comedy and audience participation. It suits groups that like talking over each other, not people looking for a quiet solo session.
