The Final Station

The Final Station is a side-scrolling survival game for people who like moving a train, scavenging stations, and making do with limited supplies while the world falls apart. By our assessment, its best trick is the steady pressure of keeping a route going while also deciding what to pick up, what to leave, and when to keep moving. The trade-off is clear: it is tense and lean, but it is not a big sandbox or a deep strategy game, so the systems stay fairly tight. In practice that gives it a clipped, anxious rhythm, with travel, stops, and resource choices all pulling on the same nerve. It sits somewhere between survival management and a story-driven road game, rather than trying to be either one in full. If someone wants a compact post-apocalyptic run with constant small decisions, this has a lot to like; if the appeal is open-ended building or long progression, the ceiling will show quickly.
