The Experiment

The Experiment leans on a premise-driven kind of play, where the title itself suggests a setup built around trying something out rather than settling into a familiar routine. By our assessment, that can make it interesting if the mechanics actually keep changing, but it also means the whole thing lives or dies on how much substance the experiment has behind it. Games built like this often feel clever at first and then run into a ceiling once the trick is understood. The name does not tell much on its own, so the real question is whether the play loop gives enough to do after the idea lands. In practice that usually means a game for curious players who do not mind a sharper edge of uncertainty, not for anyone wanting a long, settled comfort game. The Experiment sounds like a concept first and a finished system second.
