The Deed

The Deed is a small, grim comedy game about making one awful decision and then living with the mess it creates. By our assessment, its point is the awkward little web of consequences rather than action or mastery, so it lands best with people who like games built around text, consequences, and ugly social maneuvering. The catch is that this kind of setup has a narrow ceiling: once the twist is understood, the replay loop is doing the same dark joke again. In practice it is more about reading, choosing, and watching relationships buckle than about twitch skill, which makes it feel closer to an interactive story than a conventional game. It sits well beside other choice-driven indie experiments, but it is not the sort of thing that wants long sessions or broad mechanical variety. The Deed is for players who enjoy uncomfortable premise-first writing and do not mind a sharp, limited shape.
