The Day Before

The Day Before sits in the awkward space between survival shooter and online extraction game, but the name now carries more baggage than design. By our assessment, it is remembered less for a clear play style than for the gap between its promise and what people expected from an open-world zombie MMO. The idea itself is easy to grasp, yet without a strong live population or a stable reputation, that kind of game lives or dies on trust and momentum. In practice, this is the sort of title that only makes sense for people already curious about its history; everyone else has better, cleaner options in the genre.
