The Casting of Frank Stone

The Casting of Frank Stone leans on the kind of choice-driven horror that Dead by Daylight fans tend to recognize, with story scenes, tense exploration, and a lot of attention on atmosphere. By our assessment, it works best as a branching horror game for people who want mood, lore, and character pressure more than fast action. The trade-off is that this sort of game can feel more like watching a scary story unfold than steering one, so pacing matters a lot. In practice that usually means reading situations, picking dialogue or action prompts, and living with the consequences instead of chasing constant combat. It sits closer to narrative horror adventures than to a straightforward action game, and that is where its appeal comes from. If someone wants a sharp, cinematic trip through a horror setting, it has the right shape; if they want mechanical depth, this is not the lane.
