The Bug Butcher is a fast, top-down arcade shooter for people who like clean score-chasing more than story. By our assessment, it does one thing well: it keeps the screen busy with swarms of insects, tight movement, and constant shooting without asking for much setup. The trade-off is that it is narrow by design, so if you want exploration, character builds, or a long campaign, this is not where that itch gets scratched. In play it should feel immediate and mechanical, with the appeal coming from reflexes, pattern reading, and trying again with a better run.
