The Blackwell Legacy

The Blackwell Legacy works as a compact point-and-click ghost story built for people who want strong writing, not puzzle-box fireworks. By our assessment, it is best when it keeps the focus on the dead, the city mood and the straight, patient detective structure around them. Its strength is the writing: the dialogue carries the game, and the supernatural setup gives it enough shape to stay memorable. The trade-off is that the puzzles are usually simpler than in the more elaborate adventure games, so the challenge is modest and the pace depends more on story than on brain-bending problems. In practice it feels close, conversational and tidy, with a low-friction interface that lets the scenes do the work. It sits between classic adventure design and modern story-first indie games, and the sequel-heavy style that follows it is already visible here. The Blackwell Legacy is for players who value mood and character over difficulty, and it will feel light to anyone who wants tougher puzzles.
