The Blackout Club

The Blackout Club turns stealth into a group job, with players sneaking through suburbia, marking enemies, and using odd powers while trying not to get dragged into a direct fight. By our assessment, it is at its best when the loop of spying, listening, and coordinating clicks together, because the game gives you a lot of room to improvise. The trade-off is that its systems can feel a little loose, and the tension depends more on people staying aware than on perfectly tuned combat. In practice it plays like a tense co-op horror game where being quiet matters as much as being quick. Compared with cleaner stealth games, it is messier and stranger, which is part of the appeal. It is for players who want teamwork and sneaking over constant action, and less suitable if you want a straightforward solo horror ride.
