Teslagrad

Teslagrad is a puzzle-platformer built around magnetic and electromagnetic tricks, so the appeal is in reading each room and using the little set of powers in the right order. By our assessment, it does that job well: the movement and puzzle logic are tied together instead of feeling like separate systems. The downside is the usual one for this kind of game, because progress can stall when a room’s solution is only as clear as the layout lets it be. In practice it asks for patience, observation, and a willingness to backtrack when a new ability changes an old space. Compared with broader action platformers, it is more about careful problem-solving than reflexes, and less about constant spectacle. It fits players who enjoy compact puzzles inside a side-scroller, and it is less welcoming to anyone who wants a fast, loose run from one fight to the next.
