Terminator: Resistance

Terminator: Resistance is a straight shooter for people who want a story-led shooter set in the classic Terminator future, with scavenging, stealth, and a lot of firefights against machines. By our assessment, it does best when it leans into the bleak hunted feel and the familiar metal-on-metal mood of the films, rather than trying to be a big modern sandbox. Its combat is functional more than flashy, and the enemy AI and mission structure can feel simple once the early tension wears off. In practice it plays like a modest AA FPS with old-school clear objectives, not a giant open-ended action game. Compared with the stronger licensed shooters, it sits more as a competent fan piece than a broad standout. The right audience is anyone who wants Terminator atmosphere first and mechanical depth second.
