Takedown: Red Sabre

Takedown: Red Sabre is a tactical shooter that asks for patience, clear callouts, and tolerance for jank. By our assessment, its appeal sits in the idea of slower, squad-minded gunfights rather than the clean polish people expect from the genre. The aim is fine-grained movement and methodical clearing, but the rough reputation around the game is hard to ignore, and that matters because this kind of shooter lives or dies on responsiveness. In practice it feels like a small-budget take on SWAT-style action, with more friction than a mainstream military shooter. Compared with polished tactical games, it sits much lower on comfort and reliability, and the ceiling is mostly for players who enjoy the format enough to forgive the seams.
