Tafl PTK belongs to the old family of tafl games, so the appeal is in clean asymmetric tactics: one side tries to move a king to safety, the other tries to trap it. By our assessment, that is a smart format for players who like abstract board-game logic and quick positional decisions. The limit is also built in, because tafl lives on simplicity; once the rules or balance do not land, the whole thing feels bare very fast.
