Sven Co-op

Sven Co-op is a co-op half-life style shooter for people who like clearing maps together rather than competing head to head. By our assessment, its best quality is how naturally it turns old-school level-running into a shared job, with monsters, traps and objectives handled by a group instead of a lone player. The downside is that it depends on the company and the map, so the experience can swing from neat teamwork to a messy pile of noise if the group is uncoordinated. In practice it feels like classic first-person action with more shouting over shared problems than tidy solo progress. Compared with modern co-op shooters, it is older and rougher around the edges, but it keeps the charm of community-made content and a very open-ended use of Half-Life spaces. It is best for players who enjoy cooperative problem-solving and do not mind dated presentation, and the map choice matters more than flashy systems.
