SuperPower 2 Steam Edition

SuperPower 2 Steam Edition is for players who want a grand strategy model of states, budgets, diplomacy, and military power all moving at once. By our assessment, its best side is the scale: it tries to simulate politics and statecraft rather than just asking the player to push units around a map. The cost of that ambition is friction, because this kind of game tends to be dense, finicky, and full of systems that reward patience more than instinct. In practice it is the sort of game where menus, reports, and long-term planning matter more than quick action, and that makes it feel very different from lighter strategy titles. It sits in the older, more simulation-heavy end of the grand strategy field, where complexity is the point and not something to smooth away. Players who enjoy wrestling with systems will find something here; anyone looking for immediacy or a clean learning curve will probably bounce off the setup.
