Sundered: Eldritch Edition

Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a hand-drawn action platformer built around repeated runs through hostile, shifting spaces. It stands out for the way it mixes fast combat with a Metroidvania-style map and upgrade choices, so the loop is as much about learning routes as it is about surviving fights. By our assessment, that gives it a strong identity, especially if the appeal lies in pressure, movement, and a world that keeps pushing back. The trade-off is clear: it can feel demanding and a little relentless, and the structure will not flatter anyone who wants a gentle pace or a clean power fantasy. In practice it asks for patience with retries and a taste for being cornered by enemies. Compared with looser exploration games, it is harsher and more focused, and the Eldritch Edition label suggests the fuller version of that same design. It is a better fit for players who like hard-edged action and less suited to anyone looking for a calm crawl through a map.
