Styx: Master of Shadows

Styx: Master of Shadows is built for players who enjoy stealth that rewards route planning, patience, and staying invisible rather than trading blows. By our assessment, its real strength is the level design around vents, ledges, shadows, and patrol paths, which gives every room a clear puzzle-like shape. The downside is that it is deliberately fragile: detection can end a careful run in a hurry, and the game does not want to be a forgiving action title. In practice that makes it slow, tense, and very methodical, with more satisfaction in slipping through a space than in fighting over it. Compared with louder stealth games, it feels smaller and more focused, and that focus is what keeps Styx: Master of Shadows interesting. It suits people who like being underpowered and clever, while action-first players will likely bounce off the whole premise.
