Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical asks for attention in a way most games do not, because the talking and the singing are both part of the roleplay. By our assessment, its strength is the unusual mix of choice-driven storytelling with a full musical format, which gives conversations a stage-play feel instead of a standard dialogue tree. The downside is equally clear: this is not a game for people who want deep tactical systems or open-ended mechanical freedom, since the focus stays on characters, songs, and branching scenes. In practice, playing it is closer to moving through a modern musical than to solving a conventional game loop. It sits in a small space between narrative adventure and interactive theatre, so it stands out most when someone wants story with performance attached. People who like voiced, theatrical writing will have more patience for it than players looking for pure gameplay, and the title says exactly what kind of experiment it is.
