Storyteller is a puzzle game about arranging scenes, not solving them in the usual way: you place characters and situations so the little stories on screen end up matching the prompt. By our assessment, its cleverest strength is how quickly it makes you think in story logic rather than in strict rules, and that gives it a very readable, almost toy-box feel. The downside is that once the trick is understood, the game depends a lot on how many fresh combinations it can keep producing. In practice it is playful, compact, and often funny, with a lot of drag-and-drop rearranging and a fair amount of trial and error. Compared with standard logic puzzles, it is less about deduction from symbols and more about making narrative shapes line up. Storyteller is best for people who enjoy wordless storytelling systems; if someone wants deep mechanical complexity, the ceiling is lower than it first appears. The game’s charm comes from that simple act of putting the right people in the right room.
