Stormgate

Stormgate asks for the habits of real-time strategy players: hotkeys, build orders, scouting, and the patience to keep production running while the map changes under pressure. By our assessment, that is where it has its real appeal, because the loop of base building and army control is still the core attraction of the genre. The trade-off is familiar too: RTS games live or die on clarity, and when the economy, units, and combat all demand attention at once, the learning curve can feel steep. In practice Stormgate is about constant triage, not leisurely planning, so every quiet moment is really a setup for the next fight. Compared with older classics in the field, it sits in a crowded lane and has to earn attention with execution rather than novelty. It suits players who already like modern competitive RTS habits, and it will not feel gentle to anyone looking for a relaxed strategy game.
