Star Trek: Bridge Crew puts the fantasy of running a starship bridge into a VR game, and that is exactly the point. By our assessment, its best feature is the crew routine: calling out roles, coordinating movement, and making the bridge feel like a shared cockpit instead of a solo screen. The downside is obvious too, because the whole thing depends on VR setup and on having people around to make the bridge come alive. In practice it is more about coordination and roleplay than about deep systems, so the appeal is social before it is mechanical. Compared with flat-screen Star Trek games, it is much more embodied, but also narrower in what it offers. The ceiling is the novelty of that bridge fantasy, which is strong when the group is right and thin when it is not.
