Split Fiction

Split Fiction lives or dies on co-op coordination, because it is built as a two-player action-adventure around paired movement, timing, and puzzle solving. By our assessment, that is its clearest strength: the whole game is designed to make two people talk, sync jumps, and react together instead of treating co-op as a side mode. The downside is just as direct, since it has very little use for someone who wants to play alone and less room for quiet, self-paced wandering. In practice the appeal comes from constant partner awareness, quick scene changes, and the small satisfaction of clearing a section only because both players kept up. Compared with more open co-op games, it sounds tighter and more scripted, which can be a plus if structure matters more than freedom. Split Fiction is for players who want a shared run with a lot of coordination, not for anyone looking for solo drift or a sandbox to explore at leisure.
