Space Pirates and Zombies

Space Pirates and Zombies is a top-down space game that mixes ship combat, scavenging, and base-building into one scrappy loop. By our assessment, its best feature is the way it turns every run into a small economy of fuel, scrap, crew, and risk, so even routine travel has tension. The downside is that the whole thing can feel busy and a little rough-edged, with the kind of juggling that asks you to keep several systems in mind at once. In practice it is about moving around star maps, picking fights, salvaging wrecks, and feeding a growing fleet rather than following a clean linear story. It sits somewhere between action strategy and sandbox survival, closer to resource management than to arcade shooting. Space Pirates and Zombies makes the most sense for players who enjoy improvising with limited tools; if you want a sleek, tightly directed space campaign, it is not built for that.
