Space Pirate Trainer

Space Pirate Trainer stands out because it turns target practice into a loud, physical VR arcade loop. By our assessment, the best thing about it is the way it makes the player duck, aim, reload, and keep track of incoming fire all at once, so the whole session feels brisk and immediate. The trade-off is repetition: once you understand the pattern, the game is mostly about chasing a better run rather than discovering new systems. In practice it is a game of movement and reflexes, with the headset doing a lot of the work of making the space feel busy. Space Pirate Trainer sits near the top of the early VR shooter pile, and it is for people who want quick rounds and a bit of a workout, not a long campaign.
