Solar Flux sounds like a game built around moving energy around, and that usually means routes, timing, and some light puzzle work. By our assessment, the appeal of that kind of design is clear: it gives a simple rule set room to become fiddly in a satisfying way. The downside is just as clear, because this sort of game can run out of surprises once the basic pattern is learned. In practice it is the kind of title that asks for attention to layouts and a little patience with repetition. Compared with broader strategy games, Solar Flux would sit on the leaner, more abstract side of the shelf. Without stronger public detail, it reads more as a small puzzle game than as a big system to sink into.
