SkyTime

SkyTime asks for patience more than reflexes, and that is the whole point of it. By our assessment, it belongs to the sort of game people reach for when they want a lighter, time-shaped loop rather than a sprawling system of builds and combat. Its strength is in the premise and pacing: the name suggests a narrow focus, and that kind of game can be pleasant when the rules stay readable and the sessions stay short. The limit is obvious too, because thin systems run out of surprises fast if the challenge or variation is not there. In practice that usually means a small, repeatable rhythm, the kind of thing that works in bursts and then asks for a break. Compared with bigger indie games, it sounds more like a compact idea than a long haul, and that keeps the ceiling fairly low.
