Singularity is a time-bending shooter that asks for patience with its gadgets and its oddball swing between gunplay and puzzle tricks. By our assessment, it stands out most when it lets you rewrite scraps of space, not when it tries to be a straight action game. That also means the pacing can feel uneven, and the shooting is less sharp than the central gimmick. In practice it is the sort of game where the interest comes from using powers at the right moment and noticing how the level design bends around them. It sits closer to a cult first-person experiment than to a polished blockbuster shooter, which is exactly why some players remember it fondly and others bounce off. The name Singularity fits the whole idea better than the combat does.
