SimCity 3000 Unlimited

SimCity 3000 Unlimited keeps the old city-building loop intact: zoning land, threading in utilities, and watching a city grow into a working mess of roads, services, and taxes. By our assessment, its strength is the amount of control it gives over a whole urban system without turning into pure spreadsheet work. The trade-off is old design and old comfort: the interface is less forgiving than modern builders, and the camera and menus show their age. In practice it feels deliberate, a little fussy, and oddly satisfying when districts start to connect cleanly. It sits as a classic in the SimCity line, more elaborate than the earliest games and less slick than newer city builders, but still respected for its dense simulation feel. SimCity 3000 Unlimited is for people who like planning infrastructure as much as decorating skylines, and it is less friendly to anyone wanting a fast, casual sandbox.
