Silent Storm Gold Edition

Silent Storm Gold Edition is a tactical squad game for players who like turning cover, line of sight, and inventory management into the real puzzle. By our assessment, its strength is the amount of control it gives over each move, from positioning to the way weapons and gear shape a firefight. The downside is the same thing: it can be slow, fiddly, and unforgiving if you want quick battles or a simple ruleset. In practice it is the sort of game where every doorway matters and every turn can be spent setting up the next one. It sits nearer the old-school tactical PC lineage than modern streamlined strategy, with a mood that rewards patience more than speed. Silent Storm Gold Edition suits people who enjoy careful squad play and can live with a lot of micromanagement, and it will not suit anyone looking for a light, fast strategy game.
