Shark Attack Deathmatch 2 is a niche multiplayer combat game built around sharks and over-the-top underwater violence, with the title already telling you not to expect seriousness. By our assessment, its appeal is the ridiculous premise and the quick, chaotic setup of a deathmatch round, where the whole joke is the collision of sharks, humans, and panic. The downside is that this kind of one-note novelty can run out of steam quickly unless the combat and maps keep surprising you. In practice it probably lives or dies on short bursts of nonsense rather than deep systems. Compared with broader shooters, it is narrower and stranger, and that narrowness is both the hook and the limit.
