Sentinels of the Multiverse is the kind of superhero card game that wants you to juggle powers, villains, and ongoing effects at the same time. By our assessment, its main strength is the comic-book feel of teams, location-based fights, and lots of distinct characters with very different powers. The trade-off is bookkeeping: damage, triggers, and card text can pile up fast, so the table needs attention. In practice it plays like a busy puzzle where the fun comes from keeping the whole board in your head while the heroes do wildly different things. Compared with looser superhero games, it is more structured and more rules-forward, and that keeps the theme readable. It suits people who enjoy a tactical card game with a strong superhero coat, not anyone hoping for a breezy filler.
