Second Galaxy

Second Galaxy is a mobile space MMO, so the real audience is players who want ships, factions, upgrades, and a persistent online universe on a phone rather than at a desk. By our assessment, its best property is scale: it tries to give the feel of a large science-fiction economy and combat space in a portable format. The obvious downside is that mobile MMO play usually comes with grind, menu-heavy management, and a lot of systems competing for attention. In practice that means jumping between navigation, ship fitting, missions, and social features, with more time spent in interfaces than in free movement. Second Galaxy sits in the crowded middle ground between casual mobile games and heavier PC-style online space games. It will appeal to people who like long-term progression and can live with a lot of screen management. It is less attractive to anyone wanting a quick pick-up game, because the whole thing is built around ongoing upkeep.
