Scrapnaut

Scrapnaut is about building, surviving, and keeping a small machine of a base running while you collect materials and push into new areas. By our assessment, it is strongest for players who enjoy crafting loops, survival pressure, and the steady work of making a rough camp more capable. The nice part is the constant sense of progress: scraps become tools, tools become infrastructure, and the world opens a little more each time. The downside is that this kind of survival game can feel busy if the gathering and maintenance tasks start repeating too much. In practice, you spend a lot of time managing resources, moving between stations, and making sure the next step is actually affordable. Compared with pure exploration games, Scrapnaut cares more about systems than scenery. It is a good pick for people who like to build their own momentum and less for anyone who wants a quiet, story-first ride.
