Scarlet Tower

Scarlet Tower runs on the familiar roguelike vampire-survivor loop: moving through swarms, picking upgrades, and trying to hold a build together before the screen fills up. By our assessment, that is also where it is best, because the appeal comes from fast runs and the small pleasure of shaping a loadout on the fly. The limit is the usual one for this format: once the loop is understood, the experience rests on repetition and on how much the player enjoys incremental growth. In practice it should feel immediate, busy, and easy to pick up for short sessions. Scarlet Tower sits in the crowded space of action roguelikes that borrow from the Vampire Survivors style rather than trying to build a deep story around it. It works when the player wants quick momentum and lots of moving parts on screen.
