Save Room - The Merchant is a puzzle game built around inventory management, the same kind of square-juggling that fans of survival-horror item screens know well. By our assessment, its appeal comes from turning organization itself into the challenge, so the pleasure is in fitting, rotating, and compressing items until the grid finally makes sense. The trade-off is that the joke wears thin if someone does not enjoy slot logic, because the whole game is basically the tidy-up problem made into a pastime. In practice it is calm, fussy, and oddly satisfying when a layout clicks, but it asks for a patient eye rather than quick reflexes. Against bigger puzzle games it is small and specialized, closer to a mini-system than to a broad adventure. The title tells you the joke immediately, and the game mostly keeps that promise.
