Saurian

Saurian is for players who want dinosaurs handled as animals, not as theme-park mascots or action targets. By our assessment, that gives it real appeal: it focuses on ecology, survival, and the constant pressure of being a vulnerable creature in a prehistoric world. The best thing about that approach is the attention to behavior and environment, which is rarer than the usual roar-and-charge treatment. The downside is that this kind of realism can feel slow and demanding, because the game is less about spectacle than about managing needs and staying alive. In practice it asks for patience and a willingness to sit with systems rather than dramatic set pieces. Compared with most dinosaur games, it is closer to simulation and observation than to fantasy power-trip, and that narrow focus is exactly its point.
