Satellite Reign

Satellite Reign asks for patience more than speed: it is a real-time tactics game built around a four-person squad slipping through a cyberpunk city. By our assessment, its best quality is the freedom to approach objectives in different ways, with hacking, stealth, drones, and careful positioning doing much of the work. That freedom comes with a steep learning curve, and the interface can feel busy when the action gets layered with systems. In practice it has the cool, methodical feel of planning a break-in while the city keeps moving around the squad. It belongs to the same tradition as old Syndicate-style tactical games, but with a more open city layout and more emphasis on infiltration than open firefights. Satellite Reign suits players who enjoy reading a map, setting up angles, and letting a plan unfold under pressure. Its ceiling is shaped by how much someone enjoys managing several agents at once.
