Sandwalkers

Sandwalkers asks for patience, because its appeal is tied to moving carefully through a harsh world and living with the consequences of that movement. By our assessment, that makes it stronger for players who like expedition games, roguelike structure, and tactical choices that matter from one step to the next. The good part is the sense of journey: every run or expedition in a game like this can feel different because resources, positioning, and risk all stay in play. The downside is that this format rarely gives comfort; it can be punishing, uncertain, and thin on immediate gratification. In practice, you are usually planning, watching supplies, and making small calls that add up. Sandwalkers sits between survival pressure and turn-based adventure rather than offering a relaxed sightseeing tour. It is not a game for people who want instant clarity or constant success, and that is part of the point. The loop is about staying alive and learning the map as much as it is about reaching the end.
