Sacred 3

Sacred 3 is an action RPG that tries to turn the older Sacred name into a lighter, more arcade-style hack-and-slash game for players who want quick loot, simple co-op, and straightforward combat. By our assessment, it is most effective when treated as a casual brawler rather than a deep role-playing game, because the hit-and-move loop is cleaner than the systems behind it. The downside is that this narrower focus leaves less room for the sprawling character-building and world feel that people often expect from the series name. In play it can feel punchy and accessible, but also repetitive once the combat patterns settle in. It sits below the more expansive action RPGs in ambition, yet it is easier to grasp than many heavier loot games, which is its main reason to exist. Sacred 3 is a trimmed-down follow-up, not a wide-open dungeon crawl, and the ceiling is set by that choice.
