SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris is a story-heavy action RPG for fans of the anime, built around party combat, character progression, and a long run through the Alicization setting. By our assessment, its main strength is the amount of Sword Art Online material it packages into one game world, with familiar characters, side activities, and a broad fantasy-RPG structure. The trade-off is also familiar for licensed anime games: the combat and quest flow can feel more functional than sharp, and the pacing leans on tolerance for a lot of dialogue and system layering. In practice it plays like a large fan-service RPG first and a tuned action game second. It sits above simple tie-in games because it tries to be a full-length role-playing experience, not just a thin adaptation. SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris suits people who want to live in that setting for a long stretch, and it asks for patience with its sprawl.
