SULFUR

SULFUR asks for attention in the best old-school way: it looks simple, then turns out to be about timing, inventory pressure, and staying alive in messy spaces. By our assessment, what makes it appealing is the survival-crafting loop, the deliberate roughness, and the sense that every room wants a different response. The game is good at making small decisions matter, which gives it a tense, hands-on feel from one run to the next. Its limit is that this style can wear on players who want polish, clear onboarding, or a calmer pace, because the whole thing leans into friction. In practice it feels like moving through dangerous little pockets of space, collecting, crafting, and trying not to get caught out. Compared with smoother survival games, SULFUR sits in a harsher, more scrappy corner of the genre. It is a better fit for people who like survival systems with bite than for anyone hoping for comfort.
