STAR FLEET II - Krellan Commander Version 2.0 is for people who want a command-heavy starship war game rather than a shooter or a modern spectacle piece. By our assessment, the strength is in the old-school tactical focus: ordering fleets, managing combat decisions, and living with a more demanding interface than contemporary games usually allow. That kind of design has a real cost, because it asks for patience and tolerance for a steeper learning curve, but it also gives the game a clearer identity than most easy space titles. In practice it feels like piloting through menus, maps, and command choices instead of quick reflexes, which is exactly why some players value it. It sits closer to classic strategy and simulation than to action space games, and that separation is the main thing to know. If someone wants a serious command game with a retro feel, this is a natural pick; if not, it will seem dry very quickly.
