SPACE DUDES vs ALIEN DUDES

SPACE DUDES vs ALIEN DUDES is a loud, comic-looking action game title that promises a simple brawl rather than anything deep. By our assessment, the attraction is the blunt setup and the easy-to-grasp versus structure, which is the kind of thing that can work well for quick play. The downside is also built into that simplicity: without much substance behind the joke, it has a ceiling quickly. In practice a game like this usually lives or dies on basic combat feel and whether the silliness stays fresh past the first few minutes. It sits in the bargain-bin end of shooter-like arcades, where style and premise do most of the selling. People after a light, disposable burst of action may find enough here; anyone wanting depth or a lasting hook should look elsewhere.
