Roguebook

Roguebook is a deck-building roguelike for people who enjoy shaping a run card by card and making the map matter as much as the fights. By our assessment, its best idea is the two-hero setup, which gives each turn more texture than a lone lead and makes synergies feel earned. The cost is the usual one for this kind of game: a bad draw or a weak build can snowball, and luck never fully leaves the table. In practice it asks for patience with repeated runs, careful route choices, and a willingness to learn enemy patterns before the deck starts singing. Compared with Slay the Spire-style runs, it leans a bit harder on party combination and positioning. Roguebook is worth a look if the appeal is planning and adaptation, not a single fixed path through a campaign. Its ceiling is the genre’s ceiling: once the systems are learned, the interest comes from mix and variance, not story spectacle.
