Rocksmith turns practice into the whole point: it is the guitar-learning game that plugs a real instrument into the console or PC and listens as you play. By our assessment, its best trick is the note-by-note interface, which can make scales, riffs, and songs feel like lessons instead of drills. The trade-off is plain: it asks for a guitar, some setup, and real attention, so it is less casual than a rhythm game with plastic hardware. In practice it can be motivating because feedback arrives while the hands are actually on strings, not on coloured buttons. Compared with most music games, it is much closer to training than to performance, and that is exactly its place. Rocksmith is a strong pick for players who want to learn or keep up guitar habits, and it is not the easy party option.
