Reentry - A Space Flight Simulator

Reentry - A Space Flight Simulator puts the difficult part of spaceflight front and center: orbital mechanics, reentry, fuel management, and the careful hand needed to keep a capsule alive. By our assessment, that is exactly its strength, because it treats astronautics as something to learn instead of a decorative backdrop. The downside is obvious too: this is not a relaxed flying toy, and the learning curve will turn away anyone who wants instant spectacle. In practice it feels methodical, full of instrument reading, planning, and the slow satisfaction of getting a maneuver right. Compared with arcade space games, it sits much closer to a simulator that wants respect for the numbers and the sequence of actions. The attraction is that it makes spaceflight feel technical rather than cinematic, which is rare and valuable. People who enjoy procedure, restraint, and repeated attempts will get the most out of it, while anyone after pure freedom in space will find the cockpit tight.
