Realm Royale

Realm Royale is a battle royale shooter with class-based abilities, so the appeal comes from mixing looting, shrinking-zone pressure, and a small set of hero tools. By our assessment, that class layer is the interesting part, because it gives fights a bit more shape than a plain run-and-gun BR. The trade-off is that it still lives or dies on the usual battle royale rhythm, with long stretches of searching and sudden, noisy fights when the circle closes. In practice that means quick decisions, a fair amount of repetition, and a lot of reading the lobby rather than the story of a map. Compared with heavier shooters, it is lighter and more playful, but also easier to outgrow if the core loop does not click. Realm Royale is one of those games where the hook is specific, and the ceiling comes from how long that hook can stay fresh.
